Greetings, Quest Family, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
God has been so gracious and good to us. This year has gotten off to a great start, and the promise of our future is bright. As we approach Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, my heart is full.
Passover is one of the most sacred pictures in all of Scripture. It reminds us that before there was freedom, there was a lamb. Before there was deliverance, there was devotion. Before there was a future, there was faith.
In Exodus, God invited His people into something deeply personal. Each household brought a lamb. Each family marked their doorposts. It wasn’t mechanical — it was relational.
Later, in Exodus 23:15, the Lord said:
“None shall appear before Me empty.”
Not because He is demanding — but because covenant always includes response. Love responds. Gratitude responds. Faith responds.
Every year at Quest Church, we honor this sacred principle by bringing a Passover Offering on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday — a sacrificial gift above our regular giving.
We do this not out of pressure, but out of remembrance.
-
We remember where He brought us from.
-
We remember what the cross cost Him.
-
We remember that resurrection is not just history — it is our living hope.
And this year, as I reflect on what God has been doing among us — strengthening families, deepening faith, restoring hearts — I am reminded again that He is faithful.
Passover is simply our way of saying:
“Lord, we haven’t forgotten.
We are grateful.
We trust You with our future.”
The promises connected to this appointed time in Exodus 23 are beautiful:
-
God goes before us.
-
He blesses what sustains us.
-
He protects and preserves.
-
He fulfills His purposes in our lives.
When we bring our Passover Offering, we are not trying to earn those promises nor are we purchasing blessing — we are aligning ourselves with what has already been purchased.
As you prepare for Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, take time to pray with your family. Ask the Lord what sacrifice would represent devotion for you this year. Let it be thoughtful. Let it be joyful. Let it be an act of worship.
Sacrifice is never about the amount – that is between you and the Lord.
It is about the heart.
I am grateful to pastor a church family that understands covenant, generosity, and faith.
I look forward to worshiping with you during this sacred weekend. Come with expectation and faith. Invite friends and family. I believe God will do great things in our midst and many will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
With love and gratitude, Success to you and Success to the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Joshua Reyes
